Banns of Marriage
Banns are an announcement of your intention to marry and a chance for anyone to put forward a reason why the marriage may not lawfully take place.
As a parish church we are responsible for the reading of Banns of those residing in the Parish of Tattenham Corner. Banns need to be read in the church in which you are to be married if that is in another parish, as well as the parish where each of you live.
You must have your Banns read out in church for three Sundays during the three months before the wedding. Most couples try to get along to hear their Banns being read at least once.

We conduct weddings, blessings after a civil ceremony, renewal of vows and will offer prayers after a civil partnership ceremony. We are happy to conduct weddings where one or both have been previously married.
We enjoy working with couples to shape the ceremony to their requirements and are happy to involve others in the ceremony.
