Church at Home

A MESSAGE FROM Rev Des Williamson

In line with the Archbishops' advice all public services at St Mark's are suspended for the time being. We are investigating ways we can 'worship together remotely' via skype, social media etc.
We will post a list of resources here that you can use at home during this season of Lent.

Lent as a 40 day period of reflection was based on Jesus' time in the wilderness during which he seems to have been reflecting on the 40 year period of the Hebrews as they wandered in the desert after escaping Egypt. Can I therefore encourage you during this difficult time to reflect on those two stories as found in Exodus 16 and Matthew 4.

Do pray for our nation and indeed the world, but also for your neighbour, and if you are able to offer them help then don't be shy. If you are self-isolating for health reasons and you need help, call a friend or neighbour and ask them or if you are really stuck contact me (01737 353011). Be wary of people you don't know asking for your money or bank cards and offering to do shopping for you - some people have been taken in by such scams.
